It’s all in the details! Brick pavers line the walks leading to the lower level front porch. The facade is white board and batten, while shutters and doors are painted a fresh blue (SW 9140 Blustery Sky).  Notice the attention to detail on the cornices and balusters? Concrete planters add a touch of green – and we know the porch ceilings must be painted blue! Large windows provide beautiful views of the water and let the outdoors shine in. All windows and doors are from Marvin – a quality product that also suits the style of the home.

The gable roof, ornamental details, and double-height porches add elements of Victorian architecture. The lighting on the exterior and the interior of the home reflect that southern, old-world charm.

Located on the upper-level porch is the appropriately named the “Swing Porch”.  Adorned with blue and white accent pillows, the Original Charleston Bed Swing Company makes a comfortable and quite stylish porch swing for those lazy days of summer. Pillows are from Southern Living and are available at Dillards; copper gaslights – Carolina Lanterns and flooring –  Zuri Premium Decking.

The outdoor living room | screened porch is centered by the wood-burning brick fireplace flanked by matching topiaries and matching lanterns.  Heather Chadduck Interiors designed the space in neutral tones with accents of blue and white found in the pillows and slipcovered ottoman.

Surrounding the home is approximately 1400 square feet of outdoor living space.  The neutral tones of the dining porch blend seamlessly with the natural elements of the outdoors. Zuri decking provides the look and feel of hardwood – we love the natural gray tones on this (Zuri Premium decking Weathered Gray). The round teak table replicates the size and shape of the indoor dining table.

We certainly get that island feeling! Outdoor seating areas are arranged for comfortable conversation and combine materials that do not distract from the natural scenery. The wrought iron furniture is from Birchlane.com (Provence Patio Sofas and Club Chairs) and the retractable awning provides shade when needed from the sun (awning is from SunSetter).  The striped fabric on the awning is Sunbrella.  The wrought iron furniture is from Birchlane.com (Provence Patio Sofas and Club Chairs).

The entryway is separated by columns and is anchored by 3 mercury glass lanterns (Circa Lighting – Lorford Smoke Bell Lanterns) Additional bell lanterns line the adjacent hallways. The white shiplap walls, wide plank hardwood floors, and beverage cart all give that comfortable, yet finished feel.  The blue and white color combination extends to the interior – again we see the Blustery Sky on the interior part of the door – columns and ceiling are painted SW 7008 in Alabaster.

To give this home its’ ageless feel, custom touches were added –  just look at the tassel hanging from the skeleton key, the rim lock, and beamed ceiling!

Keeping it fresh in the upper-level hallway with SW 7566 Westhighland White paint on the shiplap walls, beams, and trim. Lining one wall are painted birds with picture lights and transoms overhead. Indigo blue roman shades and green glass bring the ocean colors inside. Verdigris finished lanterns by Suzanne Kasler and picture lights are from Circa Lighting.
